Use Prezi for Presentation

Presentation can be created using different tools like Microsoft Power Point, Google Presentation and Beamer. I suggest we use web based presentation tool i.e. Prezi for our final presentation as it gives a very different feel to the viewers. The presentation layout and flow is quite different from other tools giving us edge among other groups. One of the samples of Prezi can be viewed from the link below.

Prezi Sample: http://prezi.com/mkg9y_pl1cxd/presentation-on-presentations/

Suggest if Prezi is good to be used for our presentation or share any other tools which you think can be better than Prezi

The clock is ticking

The time is fast approaching for our final presentation for our forum design and documentation that supports all of past ten weeks work. With only one week left before crunch time there are a couple of minor things to clear up before we proceed with the next stage of game design.

The programmers are coping well with the added pressure of a dead line that is approaching faster than a swarm of locusts eating a corn field.

Our network engineers are just putting the final touches to the infrastructure, and our advertising reps are in overdrive working on some shiny new toys for the public to play with before launch.

I'm going to have to scram now and get the final touches of the presentation ready before my task masters crack the whip and stop my daily water rations.

Forum Setup

So, it's been a couple of weeks since my last post. We've been busy implementing the forum design and layout, and it's getting to the point where we might actually get this show on the road and give out the details!!

Work has been progressing and the programmers have been allowed out of their cave to taste fresh air. They've informed me that a more stable build is in the works and should be available for in-house testing within the next couple of days. (Fingers Crossed)

Two posts in one day??

As well as getting the server setup and ready for the game server, we've been split up into individual groups and asked to create a forum and documentation to present at the end of this term. So without further a do let me introduce you to Team Wone's group.

Firstly we have the networking group which consists of Josh, Yasir and myself (Jim). Were all in the Diploma Networking group and responsible for getting the hardware set up and able to cope with whatever the programmers and multimedia guys can throw at us. Josh is also throwing himself into getting the forums up and running.

The other two members of our group are taking care of their field of expertise. Firstly we have Kevin, our lead programmer (well the only one really). He's going to be taking care of most of the back end programming for the game and some CSS when he has some spare time.

Finally we have Michael, he's going to be working on the graphics for the forum and main webpage being used for the game. Do doubt he's going to be running backwards and forwards getting some nifty logo's sorted.

More updated to follow, I'll try and get the other guys on here for a quick introduction at some point in the next few weeks.

One week down, so many to go

So I've not posted anything for the past week, which is no real surprise considering there's been nothing to report!

But that's not the case today, this morning we've installed the latest requested software from the programmers.

Python 2.7.3
.net Runtime (4.0)
mysql 5.5.27

Added to the already installed DirectX 11 and PhysX 9.12, this should go some way to ensuring that any updates proceed without any major issues.

Also Josh is currently getting the web services up and running for a forum for the entire class.
